Program Support Assistant

The Program Support Assistant performs general reception, administrative support, and
customer service activities for the Center of Reentry Excellence (CORE). A significant component of their work is providing support to the CORE Office Manager for the effective coordination of necessary administration at both CORE's main and satellite sites. This is a full-time, non-exempt position reporting to the CORE Office Manager.

RESPONSIBILITES:
  • Greet and direct visitors to CORE's main site.
  • Providing backend office support for CORE's client and partner-facing activities.
  • Contributing to CORE's culture of support by assisting Reentry Coaches and other team members as they mentor, coach, connect with and motivate CORE Members.
  • Provide general information to the public and other interested parties regarding the activities, services, resources, and supports available through CORE.
  • Assist with the management, coordination and distribution of CORE's same-day services and resources to Core members.
  • Contributing program suggestions, feedback, and ideas to the multidisciplinary team to improve service delivery and the CORE member's experience.
COMPETENCIES:
  • Office support expertise, including reception, customer service, administrative support, and basic program coordination; experience working in a fast-paced environment, especially a multi-agency service site, is desirable.
  • Familiarity and experience using basic online tools for program administration and
    collaboration.
  • Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook proficiency and hands-on familiarity with databases a
    plus.
  • Strong communication skills, interpersonal flexibility, resourcefulness and teamwork; must
    be able to work effectively with minimal supervision.
COMPENSATION:
  • $20-$22 per hour
  • Medical, Dental and Vision health plans. Kaiser and Sutter Health options.
