Position Overview:

The Director of Enterprise Applications oversees the strategic management and delivery of all business applications on a global scale. This role is crucial for ensuring systems such as BI, MDM, CRM, web/mobile platforms, and AI/ML technologies are seamlessly integrated, optimized, and aligned with core business processes. The director is responsible for leading digital transformation initiatives, including the implementation of advanced systems like QMS (Quality Management System), labeling, barcoding, warehouse management, and MES (Manufacturing Execution System), to enhance operational efficiency and compliance across international markets including the US, LATAM, EMEA, and APAC. Tasked with bridging the gap between technology solutions and business needs, the director collaborates with cross-functional teams to drive innovation, improve user experience, and ensure technology adoption. This role requires strong leadership to manage a diverse team, adept stakeholder communication to align IT strategies with business goals, and rigorous oversight to maintain project timelines, budgets, and deliver measurable business value within a highly regulated industry.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning and Roadmap Development: Develop and execute a comprehensive global IT application strategy that aligns with the organization's business objectives and technology trends.
  • System Integration and Optimization: Ensure that all business applications including Qlik BI, MDM, CRM, and web/mobile platforms are fully integrated and optimized for maximum efficiency and performance across all regions.
  • Digital Transformation Leadership: Lead digital transformation projects such as QMS, labeling, barcoding, warehouse management, and MES, ensuring they support business process improvements and compliance standards.
  • Project Management Oversight: Oversee multiple IT projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and budget, while meeting or exceeding quality standards.
  • Vendor and Partnership Management: Manage relationships with software vendors and technology partners to ensure they meet the company's needs for technical support, product development, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Data Management and Analytics: Spearhead initiatives in data management and analytics to leverage data-driven insights for business decision-making, utilizing tools like AI/ML and BI technologies.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure all application deployments comply with global regulatory requirements pertinent to the medical device industry and implement risk management strategies.
  • Resource Allocation and Budgeting: Allocate resources effectively and manage the budget for global IT application projects to optimize spend and achieve financial objectives.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Lead and develop a diverse IT applications team, fostering a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and high performance.
  • Technology Adoption and User Training: Drive the adoption of new applications and technologies across the organization through comprehensive training programs and change management strategies.
  • Performance Metrics and Reporting: Establish and monitor performance metrics to assess the effectiveness of business applications and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Business Process Alignment: Collaborate with business leaders to ensure IT solutions are perfectly aligned with business processes and strategic needs.
  • Security and Data Protection: Implement and maintain robust security measures to protect company data across all applications and platforms.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain strong communication with all stakeholders, including senior management and regional leaders, to ensure there is a clear understanding and support for IT initiatives.
  • Innovation and Research: Continually research emerging technologies and industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation and competitive advantage within the global medical device market.

Qualifications:

Educational Background:

    • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field. An advanced degree or MBA is highly desirable for its emphasis on strategic management.

Professional Experience:

    • Seasoned IT Leader: Extensive experience managing global IT applications with a focus on systems such as Qlik BI, MDM, CRM, Web/Mobile platforms, and AI/ML technologies.

    • Digital Transformation Expertise: Proven track record in leading successful digital initiatives in areas like QMS, labeling, barcoding, warehouse management, and MES, Autonomous Robots, Business Process Automation, specifically within the medical device sector.
    • Regulatory Acumen: Familiarity with regulatory environments, including FDA regulations and ISO standards relevant to medical device manufacturing and distribution.

    • Strategic Planning: Strong capability in aligning IT strategy with broader organizational goals, ensuring that application management supports overall business objectives.
    • Change Management: Skilled in leading change, demonstrating the ability to drive the adoption of new technologies and processes within global settings.
