CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS Develop & implement sourcing strategies and plans for PCG Outside Buys consistent with supporting all Business Units' operating plans and objectives. Work with PCG Business units on toller outside buy product portfolio and toller spend. Strong understanding of how to pull accurate data from multiple systems and sources to analyze business unit spend. Identify any areas of optimization, consolidation, rationalization across PCG BU that could provide cost savings or risk mitigation. Work with greater team to develop strategic supplier preference across PCG. Work with internal GSC counterpart teams to develop PCG make, buy, sell strategy Strategic Platform Technology Management Work with various PCG third party vendors including toll manufacturing, private label, third party warehousing and other miscellaneous outside job types to capture vendor capacities, technology specialties, and equipment. Build and own vendor almanac that compares internal and external capabilities for improved strategic supply selection. Ensure service level and quality of vendors is being met to SW expectations. Assist in negotiation and claim resolution concerning PCG Outside Buy vendors. Identify and vet potential new PCG Outside Buy Vendors / Sources domestically and globally when necessary. Assist Marketing, Technical, & Supply Chain in establishing and sourcing new PCG Outside Buy requirements Work with cross functional team to implement new product development. Work with Supply Chain and Technical on insourcing and outsourcing of existing formulas with internal production fluctuations. Work with business units on acquisition and Private Label sourcing This includes managing the communication of all requirements including formula, packaging, and testing specifications for all products manufactured outside of Sherwin-Williams for private label finished goods. POSITION REQUIREMENTS FORMAL EDUCATION: Required: Bachelor's Degree KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE: Required: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Engineering, Marketing, Operations, Sourcing, Supply Chain or Technical field. Preferred: Knowledge of PCG Coatings Technologies and Raw Materials Knowledge of AOM, QAD, Product Vision, Business Objects, PIM & Microsoft Office Suite Applications Experience with toll manufacturers is a significant benefit. Manufacturing knowledge or background is a plus. Must be a self-starter with the ability to work with minimal direction/supervision in a fast-paced environment. Track record of increasing responsibility with strong preference and focus on cost savings and supply assurance. Project Management experience a plus. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to lead, influence and gain consensus cross functionality without direct authority. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. Ability to lead meetings and follow up with resulting action items. Strong work ethic and high energy level.
