The Manager, Technology & Cloud Infrastructure supervises, coordinates, and assists in providing comprehensive project and technical support for ADA Forsyth Institute (AFI) staff, focusing on the use and implementation of advanced computer technologies. This includes overseeing public cloud services, servers, PCs, network, and application software.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and executing IT projects.
- Analyzing, identifying, planning, and implementing new or upgraded technologies based on organizational requirements.
- Recommending updates to operating systems, applications, hardware replacements, configuration changes, security improvements, and new or replacement products.
- Coordinating the installation and implementation of new technologies.
- Establishing and implementing infrastructure procedures and standards.
- Forecasting and managing public cloud and server resource requirements, including personnel, software, equipment, and facilities.
- Recommending and coordinating the installation and implementation of cloud infrastructure products, server products, and software.
- Establishing standard implementation processes with staff and vendors.
- Collaborating with IT staff to identify necessary infrastructure resources and application requirements.
- Ensuring new or upgraded technologies are supported by the IT team.
- Creating installation and support documentation, training team members, and transitioning maintenance of new technologies as appropriate.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or similar.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience with Azure resources, M365 resources and Windows Server Products such as Windows 2018 or newer; technology projects, such as Azure implementations, server upgrades, server installations; end user technical support; documenting technology projects and procedures.
- Knowledge of Azure tools and services, M365 tools and services, Windows Server and related tools such as Hyper-V, advanced understanding of network concepts, understanding of DNS.
- Proficient in MicroSoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Azure portal; M365 portal; Windows Server and integrated applications; commonly used server software; Windows client and commonly used applications.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously; troubleshoot and resolve problems that come up in the Azure and M365 environment as well as the on-premise environment; learn new Azure and M365 features as they are released; plan implementations; test new configurations; lead technology team made up of staff, consultants and service providers.
- Excellent problem solving, project planning, analytics, customer service, written and oral communication skills.
