Sr. Software Developer

Position Summary:
Working as part of the Applications Development team within our Information Technology department, this position is responsible for the coding, design, modification, and testing of computer programs. This position possesses strong skills and depth of knowledge across a majority of our supported technical disciplines and business solutions.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Works independently or with Team Leaders to create specifications, design, and develop solutions to meet the needs of our customers
- Provides training and mentors Software Developers to help team stay on a cohesive path
- Consults with internal and external customers to define application requirements and specifications, and to design information-processing procedures
- Ensures our applications stay up and performant, and troubleshoots issues when they surface by independently analyzing program logic to determine solutions.
- Leads or takes an active role to resolve issues
- Writes, tests, and debugs complex programs
- Prepares and reviews complex test data
- Documents program information and procedures
- Other programming duties and projects as assigned
- Highly proficient and experienced with the following:
- Systems analysis, design, and programming
- Maintaining and writing code (C#, VB.Net, VB6)
- Database systems and writing queries (SQL, Oracle, DB2)
- Website building and programming practices (ASP, MVC)
- Requirements gathering, analyzing and determining feasibility, working with others to design and recommend solutions
- Ability to identify complex issues and determine appropriate resolutions
- Comprehensive knowledge of project lifecycles
- Self-develops and adopts new technical skills
- Ability to prioritize a large workload while maintaining a sense of urgency
- Proven ability to exercise independent judgement and decision making
- Ability to communicate and work effectively with internal and external customers
- Must be able to provide rotating on-call support of production systems
