Salary: Based on Experience
Primary Functions of the position:
- Technology Support and Optimization: Help oversee and enhance technology systems for efficient operations at Good Foods Grocery/Commonwealth Autism. This includes managing ECRS/Catapult changes, computer maintenance, payment processing, and all IT functions of the business.
- Infrastructure Management: Identify and implement innovative systems and infrastructure improvements to boost operational effectiveness and efficiency. This encompasses network engineering, server maintenance, and computer management to ensure seamless connectivity and performance.
- Inventory Oversight: Take a proactive approach to inventory management, optimizing purchasing processes and functionalities to support store operations.
- Support for Commonwealth Autism and Good Foods Grocery: Offer comprehensive IT support to both Commonwealth Autism and Good Foods Grocery, leveraging technology to enhance their missions and operations.

As an IT Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of our technology systems to support business operations. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Providing Technical Assistance: Offer timely and effective technical support to resolve hardware, software, and network issues for end-users.
- Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving: Diagnose and troubleshoot technical problems, providing solutions or escalating issues as necessary to ensure minimal downtime and disruption.
- User Training and Education: Assist users in understanding and utilizing technology resources effectively through training sessions and documentation.
- System Maintenance and Upgrades/Office 365: Perform routine maintenance tasks, including software updates, antivirus management, and system backups, to ensure security and stability of IT infrastructure.
- Hardware and Software Installation: Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware and software, including peripherals and applications, to meet user requirements.
- Network Support: Assist in the maintenance and configuration of network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls, to ensure reliable connectivity and data transmission.
- IT Asset Management: Maintain an inventory of IT assets, including hardware, software licenses, and peripherals, and ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
- Remote Support: Provide remote assistance to users, troubleshooting issues and offering solutions via phone, email, or remote desktop tools.
- Documentation and Reporting: Document IT procedures, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions, and generate reports on system performance and user support metrics.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with IT team members and other departments to address technical challenges and implement solutions that align with business objectives.
Required primary attributes:
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in IT support or a related role.
- Strong knowledge of hardware, software, and network troubleshooting techniques.
- Familiarity with Windows and/or Linux operating systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other productivity software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional) are a plus.
- Adaptable to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands, and can deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.
- Hours could vary and depending on emergencies could include weekends.
