Mercy General Hospital (Dignity Health Medical Foundation) is looking for In-House OB/GYN coverage, primarily for no-doc patients who present to, or were admitted from, our ED. Emergency Management of patients already on the unit if being managed by a community OB/GYN.

Dates of Coverage (Providers MUST be available for one or all of these dates in order to be considered):
- Feb 5 - 7a-7p
- Feb 12 - 7a-7p
- Feb 14 - 7a-7p
- Feb 15 - 7a-7p
- Feb 24 - 7p-7a
- Shift Times:
- 7am to 7pm
- 7pm to 7am
- 7am to 7am
- Feb 5 start, ongoing
- 7a-7p, 7p-7a & 24 hour (7a-7a)
- INPATIENT ONLY
- Between 60-75 deliveries/month
- Support Staff- Unit RNs, Anesthesia
- Duties- Labor and Delivery, Gyn consultations and management of Gyn emergencies.
- Required Procedures: C-Section, hysterectomy, ovarian detorsion, amongst others.
- EMR: Cerner
- Reasons for coverage: Incomplete OB Hospitalist program staffing.
- Admissions per day: 3
- Patients/day: 3
- Types of cases: NSVD, LTCS, Gyn emergencies
- First day info/orientation: Would need to be here the day before, 4/26, for orientation (partial day)
- Timeframe: At least one week for emergency privileges, then credentialing through DHMF for future dates
- Requirements: Internally credentialed with locum agency
- Credentialing with other facilities? Provider will need to credential with DHMF for future coverage while working through the hospital for urgent dates.
- Billing enrollment - No
- Preferred Lodging: None
- Malpractice rates - Must be included in the rates.
- Orientation rate (half the hourly rate, kicks in after 8 hours) - "Per hour of orientation or training beyond 8 hours"
- Hourly rate - (in-house, 24 hour shifts) - "Per hour, no OT"
- Holiday rate - "1.5x the regular rate, per hour, no OT"
Requirement description : ALL OF THE FOLLOWING MUST BE NOTED IN ADDITIONAL SUBMISSION DETAILS AT NAME CLEAR TO BE CONSIDERED AND AVOID BEING REDIRECTED
- Board Certified OB/GYN - REQUIRED, WILL NOT ACCEPT BOARD ELIGBILE
- Active CA license - REQUIRED
- Residency/Fellowship: ACOG accredited OB/GYN residency program - REQUIRED
- Must be available for one or all of the dates listed in job description to be considered - REQUIRED
- Must disclose ongoing availability (# of shifts per month) - REQUIRED
- Clean malpractice/background - HIGHLY PREFERRED, WILL CONSIDER OTHERS ON A CASE-BY-CASE
- Local, no flights - Highly Preferred
- Disclose if the provider has worked at any other CHI/Dignity facility - REQUIRED
- COVID Vaccine - REQUIRED
