Job Purpose

Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT) are responsible for the facilitation and delivery of behavior-analytic services according to an established schedule of structured program activities. RBT’s shall ensure a therapeutic environment which is productive, meaningful, and is provided in a manner that is appropriate for the person(s)-served within the treatment setting.

Qualifications
  • Possession of a High School Diploma and/or equivalent.
  • Successful completion of the 40- hour RBT training and competency assessment process.
Core Job Duties
  • Assisting the Board-Certified Behavior Analysist (BCBA) with implementing behavior services.
  • A direct behavior support to the person(s) served.
  • Help individuals with personal outcome measures/achievement of treatment goals.
  • Assist in collecting data related to any challenging behaviors.
  • Assist and /or coordinate crisis intervention services as needed.
  • Assist with planning and preparing for individual or group activities.
  • Provide continuous supervision of person(s) served to ensure compliance and report any physical and / or emotional changes to the proper staff members.
  • Monitor vital signs, urine analysis, self-administration of medication and search of person(s)-served as required. Some sites require medication administration.
  • Serve as a positive role model through professional appearance, therapeutic communication and respect for self and others.
  • Assist in the transportation of person(s)-served to and from scheduled activities, as needed.
  • Adherence to all applicable evidence-based practice models.
  • Orally communicate information effectively and accurately.
  • Assure program operates within the constraints of the agency’s certification (CARF, DMH) standards and strategic plan related to clinical care.
  • Abide by program and agency policies and procedures.
  • Other job duties and special projects as assigned.


We have 10 RBT positions open.
- 4 Monday - Friday (daytime/evening shifts)
- 2 Monday - Friday (overnight shifts)
- 2 Saturday - Sunday (daytime/evening shifts)
- 2 Saturday - Sunday (overnight shifts)
