Job Title: Wellness and Behavioral Intervention Technician

Job Summary:

The California Department of Education is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Wellness and Behavioral Intervention Technician to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for providing critical support to our students and staff in crisis situations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide crisis prevention and intervention services to students and staff
  • Develop and implement individualized wellness plans to support students
  • Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and other support staff to ensure student success
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge

Requirements:

  • Certificate Copy (Ability to obtain Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) within 30 days)
  • Certification (Ability to obtain Wellness Coach Certification within 30 days)
  • Copy of Transcript (Submit a copy of degree or transcript verifying 48 units or degree)
  • Letter of Introduction (Submit an original letter stating educational background, experience, and reasons for applying)
  • Resume

Selection Process:

Following initial screening, applicants will be informed regarding the necessity of an interview. As a condition of employment, the successful candidate will be required to be fingerprinted, sign a loyalty oath, produce evidence of a negative tuberculosis test, and provide documentation of eligibility to be employed in the United States.
