Systems Engineer Plano, Texas Remote Local Contract $40/hr - $45/hr A rapidly expanding organization based in Plano, TX, is seeking a Systems Engineer to join their team. This company specializes in delivering IT infrastructure solutions tailored to dental and orthodontic practices, helping them operate efficiently and effectively. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Windows systems, Cisco Meraki networking, and Azure cloud environments. Key responsibilities include managing endpoints using MCM/SCCM and Intune to ensure smooth operations, administering Cisco Meraki networks, and providing remote troubleshooting support when necessary. The role also involves enhancing cloud connectivity and managing deployments through Azure DevOps, with prior experience in this area considered a strong advantage. Proficiency with tools such as Entra, Microsoft Defender, and PowerShell is highly desirable. This is a remote position, but candidates must be local to the DFW area. It is a contract-to-hire role with a duration of 3–6 months. The hourly pay rate is $40–$45, with a conversion salary ranging from $80,000 to $90,000. Required Skills & Experience 5+ years of system administration or system engineering experience Strong knowledge of vulnerability management, including patch management and addressing security risks Strong knowledge of networking concepts and technologies such as IPv4, DHCP, DNS, VLANs Intermediate knowledge of Cloud SaaS offerings such as AWS, Azure, and Office 365 Knowledge of Intune and Microsoft Configuration Manager (MCM) Intermediate knowledge of Active Directory Administration, Certificate Services, and Remote Desktop Services Desired Skills & Experience Certifications in Office 365, Azure, AWS, Cisco, and/or CompTIA Security + Any PowerShell, Python or T-SQL experience.
