The Procurement Category Manager – Ingredients role will be responsible for setting the 3 – 5 year category strategies for assigned ingredient categories across the Mark Anthony Brewing (“MAB”) spend portfolio, maximizing value, delivering disruptive innovation for the business, and minimizing risk. They will lead sourcing events and supplier selection, supplier relationship management (SRM), and lead continuous process improvements.
Accountabilities & Impact:
- Matches internal ambitions and business needs with external capabilities, trends and market conditions to drive ambitious and sustainable 3 - 5 year category strategies.
- Supports the Director – Ingredients Procurement to embed a highly disciplined and analytical approach to category management practices and procurement excellence.
- Acts as a primary liaison between business stakeholders and suppliers – represents MAB at conferences & meetings.
- Delivers strategies that create value and bring innovation while also mitigating risk and increasing predictability.
- Primary contact with finance for ingredients for building cost standards and forecasting cost model drivers
- Strategic thinking – uses external and internal information to recommend long-term goals & opportunities for MAB.
- Sourcing tactics – has practical experience in executing procurement category management cadences & tasks.
- Communication – strong written and verbal influencing skills, even-temperament for resolving conflicts.
- 4+ years managing direct material categories & suppliers.
- Excel and data analysis skills; Strong presentation skills.
