Marcum LLP is seeking an International Tax Manager to join our growing and well-established national firm. The position requires an experienced tax professional with strong interpersonal and supervisory skills. The candidate would be responsible for managing multiple tax engagements to deliver quality international tax services to our clients. Our growing international tax practice provides tremendous career opportunities in an environment of the highest ethical standards and professionalism. Considerable knowledge of public accounting practices, law firm and corporate tax department of a multinational company Researches tax risk management issues and proposes potential solutions through collaboration with Engagement Partner Provides technical advice and comprehensive solutions to clients' based on research and studies Advanced level knowledge in inbound and outbound acquisitions, dispositions and reorganizations Formulating effective and tax-efficient cross-border strategies for both US and overseas investments Managing their global structural tax rate Previous experience with Offshore holding and operating structures; intellectual property restructuring Assisted clients with Real Estate Investment and Tax Treaties Thorough knowledge of assisting companies to understand and assess the tax impact of company business, operations and transactions in multiple jurisdictions Advanced level tax transaction research skills Monitors that tasks are assigned and completed on a timely basis and reviews workflow Oversee Seniors and Staff coordinating the day-to-day duties Manages multiple assignments inside an engagement Communicates with Partner on work status and client issues that arise Conducts research, consults with team members, draws conclusions and prepares memos based on target issues Advanced knowledge of applicable software Communicate effectively with clients and develop positive relationships with client personnel Supervise, train and mentor tax staff Staying abreast of developments within the international arena that may affect their business, both globally and locally Requirements: Bachelors in Accounting is required CPA license or LLM 7 + years experience in a similar role 7 + years supervisory experience preferred Prior experience managing engagements and clients Stays current on technical and industry developments and standards while evaluating potential impacts on their client engagements Formal mentoring relationships with all levels of staff Advanced knowledge of a minimum of 1-2 industry areas which the firm services Ability to work independently, but also work well with others #LI-BL2 Marcum LLP is an Equal Opportunity Employer Marcum LLP does not discriminate on the basis of race, ancestry, national origin, color, religion, sex, gender identity, age, marital status, sexual orientation, disability, veteran status, or any other protected classification under the law.
