Job Title: Jr. Information Technology Specialist

Location: San Antonio, TX

Certifications: Relevant IT certifications are preferred but not mandatory. These may include MCP, MCTS, MCSE, Net+, Sec+, ITILv4, etc.

Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of experience working in an enterprise IT environment.
  • Strong desire to learn new things with a passion for IT and technology.
  • Ability to interact with end users professionally and courteously.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve various complex issues.
  • Experience managing support requests in an enterprise helpdesk solution.
  • Willingness to find solutions to problems and reach out for assistance when necessary.
  • Experience with Windows operating systems.
  • Basic understanding of cybersecurity applications and concepts.
  • Ability to pass a background screening.
  • Ability to work confidently and securely with sensitive/confidential information.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Flexibility in a supporting role.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, manage time and responsibilities effectively, and follow up on all open issues.
  • Proficiency in English
Description:

This role provides support to a wide range of geographically dispersed users and a myriad of technologies ranging from client computers, mobile devices, servers, VoIP, security software, and everything in between. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, eager to manage a wide array of technologies and possess a strong, personal desire to learn and grow. Our ideal candidate will be excited for opportunities to build new skills and increase their own knowledge and experience. The individual will be willing to jump in and offer assistance for any issue that may arise, and the candidate will learn, understand, and help to improve existing IT processes.

Responsibilities:
  • Respond to a wide range of IT related issues which could be different from day to day and may include:
  • Remote end user support and troubleshooting.
  • Onsite network support and troubleshooting, including WiFi, Conference room connectivity, basic routing, switching, software maintenance, network cabling, etc.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve end user issues in a mixed Windows environment.
  • Troubleshooting hardware issues remotely with end users (e.g., printers, monitors, docking stations, etc.).
  • Managing user accounts, groups, mailboxes, and software licenses in Microsoft 365/Azure.
  • Ordering, installing OS, configuring, shipping & receiving IT equipment with required approvals.
  • Maintaining IT Assets, to include auditing inventory, coordinating with individuals to sign for hand receipts, etc.
  • Creating and managing SharePoint sites and permissions. Troubleshooting SharePoint access for internal and external users. Managing and Troubleshooting SharePoint connected flows and automation.
  • Manage company business accounts to include Verizon, Adobe, FedEx, and any others as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate documentation on processes and guidelines as they evolve.
  • Prioritizing tasks and handling multiple issues while managing your time efficiently with little supervision.
  • Working closely with the VP of Technology to plan, implement and maintain various projects that involve different facets of technology when necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned by the VP of Technology, CEO, or COO.
