Job Summary:

The Assembler III will be responsible for assembling turbine pumps of moderate complexity for shipment or performance testing.

This position involves working with electrical leads, electric motors, and wiring while adhering to safety protocols and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assemble turbine pumps of moderate complexity.
  • Read and interpret formal orders and bills of materials.
  • Work from assembly drawings and layouts.
  • Utilize hand power tools for various assigned tasks.
  • Fabricate wooden crates and skids for pumps and components.
  • Mark crates according to order instructions.
  • Check orders for completeness and accuracy.
  • Provide weights and dimensions to the export coordinator.
  • Paint pumps using standard and special paints.
  • Support and comply with all safety and 5S requirements related to the position.
  • Perform other miscellaneous duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED with 1-2 years of shop-related experience.
  • Ability to read complex drawings and diagrams and use scales, calipers, and other measuring instruments.
  • Proficient in shop arithmetic and knowledgeable about the complete range of pumps produced at the operation.
  • Competent in material handling using forklifts and cranes.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 12 months of experience in assembly, testing, painting, and crating.
