ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT - Contingent worker
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THE ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
- Under general direction, provides general administrative and staff support to a department or group of professionals.
- Collects, compiles, and analyzes moderately complex data and information. Composes straightforward written descriptions of results.
- Requires the ability to exercise independent judgment and employ basic reasoning skills. May assist in budget preparation and control activities.
- May assist in the preparation and control of records, statistics, and reports regarding operations, personnel changes, etc.
- Administers programs, projects, and/or processes specific to the operating unit served.
- May serve as administrative liaison with others within and outside the company regarding administrative issues related to purchasing, personnel, facilities and operations.
- May screen and interview job applicants and orient new employees.
- Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned.
- High school diploma required
- 3+ years of administrative experience
- Problem Solving: Solves moderately complex problems; makes recommendations to improve standard procedures and/or processes.
- Customer Response: Anticipates and understands customer needs and identifies solutions to nonstandard requests.
- Planning and Organizing: Manages own time to meet objectives and is proactive in offering help to others.
- Teamwork: Contributes to achievement of team goals within own area or department; promotes teamwork through understanding of broader team goals.
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks and make appropriate decisions.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work with confidential information.
- Ability to work under frequently changing priorities.
- Organizational skills. Problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of various software applications including Microsoft Word, Power Point, and Excel. Knowledge of business English, spelling and punctuation.
- Knowledge of standard office practices and procedures.
