Are you a Mechanical CAD Technician from an automation or robotics background with SOLIDWORKS or AutoCAD experience looking for an exciting new opportunity to work with an expanding company that offer career progression and a brilliant renumeration package?


On offer is a long-term role where become an integral member of the mechanical engineering team where you will be designing and draughting for assemblies and components used in robot based, electromechanical systems for use in factory and process automation.


This Company have been established for over 20 years and have a state of the art modern facility. They are nationally recognised for the specialist work they do within the Aerospace, Automotive, Defence and Renewable Energy industries. With the quality of their work they have created a strong reputation for designing and building complete process solutions to the highest quality, providing customers with great efficiency.


This role would suit a Mechanically biased CAD Technician who has experience using SOLIDWORKS or AutoCAD that is familiar with automation or robotics looking for an excellent opportunity to take the next step in your career.


The Role:



  • Ensure timely completion of design and technical project milestones and deliverables


Using 3D solid modelling tools


Using 2D orthographic drawings


Prepare and process engineering change requests and notices


Electromechanical machine design


Tolerancing and analysis



The Person:



  • Automation / Robotics Experience


Degree in Engineering or equivalent, HNC or Apprenticeship with proven experience in the Industry


Experience using SOLIDWORKS or AutoCAD
