Orthopedic Surgery opening - Altoona, PA Located 98m to Pittsburgh Position Details - Full-time, permanent- Subspecialty interest/experience in trauma/total joint/hand preferred but not necessary- Fully established practice with high volume patient base- The practice cares for patients referred from 70+ primary care physicians and the Hospitals emergency and trauma departments. - Join a full-service practice with 6 orthopedic surgeons, 8 Physician Assistants, and a non-surgical sports medicine physician - Clinical Academic appointment - Trauma call 1:5 - Practice call 1:5 T- Team physicians for local Division 1 University - In-office imaging and PACS/EMR system - Newly constructed 90,000 sq ft medical office complex Compensation/Benefits - Relocation assistance- Sign-on bonus- $4,000 CME allowance- Competitive base salary commensurate with experience- Outstanding benefit package including health, dental, life, vision and disability insurance- Retirement plan with employer match About the Group - 400-bed regional tertiary hospital serving west central Pennsylvania.- Accredited level II trauma, stroke and chest pain center, and a regional oncology center. - Additional signature services include comprehensive cardiology/cardiovascular surgery, behavioral health, bariatrics, maternity, robotic surgery, and wound care.- The hospital is a 4-star CMS hospital with a Leapfrog A grade in patient safety. - The medical staff is comprised of approximately 400 primary care and specialty physicians, including full-service hospitalists, intensivists and a team of interventional radiologists.- $23 billion world-renowned health care provider and insurer.- 92,000 employees, including 4,900 physiciansOver 40 academic, community and specialty hospitals- Over 800 doctors offices and outpatient sites About the Community: - You can choose to live in the Altoona/Hollidaysburg area or State College (hometown of Penn State University's main campus).
