Genesis10 is currently seeking an Application Programmer with our client in the financial industry located in Charlotte, NC, and Pennington, NJ, and Plano, TX. This is a 12 + month contract position.

Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to story refinement/defining requirements
  • Participate and guide team in estimating work necessary to realize a story/requirement through the delivery lifecycle
  • Perform spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas
  • Code solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements
  • Utilize multiple architectural components (across data, application, business) in design and development of client requirements
  • Assist team with resolving technical complexities involved in realizing story work
  • Contribute to existing test suites (integration, regression, performance), analyze test reports, identify any test issues/errors, and triage the underlying cause
  • Document and communicate required information for deployment, maintenance, support, and business functionality
  • Participate, contribute, and can coach team members in the delivery/release (CI-CD) events
  • e.g. branching timelines, pull requests, issue triage, merge/conflict resolution, release notes
  • Participate in or supports delivery of architecture designs and implementations
  • Incorporate technical and financial factors when comparing different approaches to solutions

Requirements:
  • Ability to design and develop significant components within an application; has performed code reviews
  • Test Engineering - Proficient in designing, developing, and executing test cases
  • Knowledge of Test Automation and tools
  • DevOps and Release Automation - Ability to perform or support continuous integration and deployment activities within their role
  • Understanding and appreciation for DevOps culture
  • Application & Data Architecture - Possesses an understanding of architecture
  • Solution Delivery Process - Understands all roles and responsibilities within their team and uses the tool sets within the software lifecycle
  • Governance & Stakeholder Management - Contributes to artifacts needed for governance forums
  • Understand stakeholder expectations and creates regular updates to keep stakeholders informed
  • Business Products & Strategy - Basic awareness of products, services, business flows and strategy
  • Risk Management - Understands risks and can apply the controls necessary to mitigate
  • Knows when to escalate risks
  • Financials & Resource Management - Basic understanding of financial data and the impact that their role has within a team
  • Planning, Execution & Process - Actively participates in planning ceremonies
  • Ability to complete a task/story against plan/sprint commitment
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of Agile/Waterfall frameworks
  • Analytical Thinking - Possesses knowledge of prior solutions to existing problems and applies them to solve similar problems
  • Promotes Collaboration - Collaborates within a team
  • Seeks ways to develop cross-team collaboration skills and build trust
