The Marketing Specialist position is a front-line market development role. This is not a traditional retail sales role; the ideal candidate will be able to work in On Premise (30% of the time) and Off Premise (70% of the time (c-store)). You will be able to educate the key decision makers and the end consumers on the represented brands' history, features, benefits, and competitive advantages at various retail stores. By leveraging this education, the Marketing Specialist will seek to put the clients' products in the ideal position in the venue and close any existing gaps in distribution. This while always looking to find relevant sponsorship opportunities and selling price / promotional features or additional shelf / display space. The candidate must show a high level of ownership for the business and be a self-starter. You should be willing to act as Brand Ambassador regularly to sample the key products at On Premise and Off Premise locations. The candidate must be adept at selling win-win solutions that benefit the client's portfolio and the customer.

Marketing & Promotion:
• Follow monthly key performance indicators (KPIs) for sampling and demos.

o Sales KPIs for both on and off premise will including minimum sampling and demo requirements each month.

o KPIs progress will be reviewed with the Sales Director weekly.
• Lead and drive market activations and sampling events, serving as the point person for the Sampling agency, acting as the lead problem solver for the account, while also maintaining project documents and managing agreed upon on-site sampling spends.
• Maintain all project documents (sampling reporting, inventory etc.)
• Manage sampling spends when on-site at activations.
• Coordinate project timelines with oversight from the Sales Director.
• Manage in-market assets and identify additional asset opportunities (POS, displays, merchandise etc.) - in coordination with the Sales Director.
• Issue and maintain surveys for accounts to track customers, orders, and movements.

Sales:
• Follow monthly KPIs for sales expectations.

o Sales KPIs for on and off premise will include sales goals, new accounts, POS/displays deployment, and sales and customer relationship maintenance.

o KPIs will be reviewed with the Sales Director weekly.
• Build and maintain relationships with key accounts from the Madam Paleta target account list.
• Secure distribution, features and displays at key accounts.
• Identify key opportunities for new distribution, sales, features, displays, sampling and events.
• Issue and maintain surveys for accounts to track market activity, orders and movements.
• Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products and competitor promotions and events.
• Recommend adjustments and improvements based on continual observations of products, services and procedures in market.
• Maintain all market performance documentation (hours, mileage etc.)

Administrative:
• Maintain inventory in market and request new merchandise/re-orders from the Sales Director and Marketing VP.
• Maintain and submit hours, mileage, expenses and receipts weekly.

Compliance:
• Verify and ensure compliance with all legal requirements related to selling, offering and sampling spirits in the State of Texas.
• Submit proof of a valid TABC license.

Vacation:

Regular full-time employees are eligible for 40 hours of vacation time per calendar year.

Sick:

Regular Full-time employees are eligible for 3 days of paid sick leave per year.

• A waiting period of six (6) months from your start date must be completed.
• Able to use sick time at the completion of 90 days of continued employment.
