CRITICAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Support Yellow Jacket Engineers during development, prototyping, testing and fielding of new and improved products
  2. Develop manufacturing drawings and assist to identify part sources
  3. Keep involved during product development by offering suggestions and feedback from testing and during design reviews
  4. Work with tool room and shop floor by issuing shop travelers
  5. Develop test plans, work instructions, and other product support documentation
  6. Identify vendors/contractors to supply/support product development
  7. Generate and submit test reports
  8. Work diligently to support the product development schedule
  9. Assist in the train up of vendors and internal personnel to launch product
  10. Able to travel to field locations to support customers using products
  11. Support customer change requests, internal process changes and field issues as assigned
  12. Stay aware of applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications relating to product development
Requirements
  1. CAD Designer/Drafter technical degree required
  2. 1-2 years' experience in mechanical design position with demonstrated success of working independently.
  3. Proficient in SolidWorks CAD
  4. Must be able to pass an ATF Background check
  5. Proficient with using spreadsheets and familiar with Bills of Materials and product Routings to support manufacturing processes
  6. Hands-on experience using test equipment - tensile test, pressure test, explosives test or similar
  7. Inspection experience using calipers, micrometers, and other inspection devices
  8. Excels in a highly dynamic organization, experiencing high growth rates
  9. Exceptional interpersonal/written communication skills; can effectively interact with all levels of management
  10. Ability to work on multiple projects with limited direction
  11. Hands-on land-based oil field experience is a plus
  12. CNC and/or manual machining experience is a plus
