Job Title: Cellar Worker

Job Description

This person will be working as a cellar worker in a bottling and repacking facility that imports wine and has started making its own wines. Responsibilities include performing basic cellar tasks such as receiving wine, topping tanks, making additions, cleaning tanks, adding concentrates, and more. The role also involves maintaining good housekeeping practices, cleaning and sanitizing equipment and tanks, operating basic equipment like wine pumps and bottling machines, assisting with wine movements, barrel work, and cleaning filters. The person must be knowledgeable with basic hand tools and possess basic math skills. The job requires the ability to lift 50lbs, frequent walking, including going up and down stairs and ladders, and bending. Overtime work is required.

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 4 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in American Canyon, California.

Work Environment

The schedule is Monday - Thursday from 12 PM to 10:30 PM, following a 4/10 schedule with frequent overtime. A fifth day on Fridays is usually an 8-10 hour shift. The environment is very high in Spanish-speaking, though the ability to read English is required. The clean warehouse environment has a moderate to high noise level but no strong smells. The facility includes bottling and repacking equipment, and the crew consists of about 15 employees in a fast-paced, wet, and cold warehouse. Steel-toed boots are required.
