Job Summary:

Saint Anthony Hospital seeks a skilled Cardiac Sonographer to perform all transthoracic ultrasound exams and non-invasive cardiac testing as requested by physicians. This role requires adherence to facility and department standards and practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform transthoracic ultrasound exams.
  • Conduct non-invasive cardiac testing.
  • Evaluate sonograms for diagnostic information.
  • Integrate sonographic data with patient history and lab results.
  • Communicate diagnostic information effectively to physicians.
  • Operate sonographic equipment efficiently.
  • Adapt examinations as necessary based on diagnostic findings.
  • Provide compassionate care, recognizing patient needs.
  • Follow established departmental procedures.
  • Handle emergency situations effectively.
  • Conduct exams on patients ranging from newborns to geriatrics.
  • Pediatric experience is encouraged.
Qualifications:
  • Graduate of a Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or Cardiovascular Technology Program.
  • Active certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or eligibility.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and make informed decisions.
  • Effective communication skills with patients and healthcare team.
