A typical day in the life of a Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant, includes: Collaborating with the center clinical staff to ensure patient care. Providing treatment of illnesses and injuries; order labs and other diagnostic tests and prescribe medications for children and adults. Demonstrating the ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individual patient care appropriate to the age of patients. Performing common urgent care procedures such as wound repair, abscess drainage, splinting, EKG and X-Ray interpretation.
