Wilshire Boulevard Temple is currently searching for a Level 1 Service Desk support technician to provide high-quality technical support and customer service to our various departments which include two elementary schools, three ECC(Early Childhood Education) schools, three Religious Schools, summer camps, social services organization at two locations, a conference center, and the various administrative departments.
- Responsible for the installation, maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, and virtualization.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing the impact of issues.
- Provide technical support for both hardware and software issues for staff (teachers/clergy/admin)and students.
- Provide documentation and technical specifications to others for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT infrastructure.
- Setup, maintain, and delete user accounts as required in AD/Google Workspace.
- Level 1 support, making sure all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved promptly with limited disruptions.
- Monitor systems daily and respond immediately to security or usability concerns.
- Patch and upgrade systems and processes as required for enhanced functionality and security issue resolution.
- Cabling infrastructure maintenance and management.
- Manage multiple projects.
- Plan and schedule system and hardware upgrades and updates.
- Provide status updates to the IT Director and IT Supervisors.
- Timely escalation of support issues ensuring all clients are 100% satisfied.
- OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED
Demonstrated Knowledge Required:
- Minimum CompTIA A+ certification
- Two years in a desktop support role.

The position will require one the ability to ascend and descend ladders, scaffolds, and stairs and work in confined spaces and in proximity to loud equipment. Must be able to position oneself to work in confined spaces such as tables, server rooms, and crawl spaces. Pushing and pulling computer/inventory carts.
Lifting, raising, carrying, and holding, devices and equipment ranging from 1-35 pounds.
