POSITION SUMMARY:

This position involves supporting the school nurse in various tasks such as data entry, managing student records, conducting mandated screenings, and ensuring the maintenance of equipment and supplies. The role requires maintaining confidentiality, communicating with parents about health information as directed, and transporting students or equipment within the school premises. Additionally, maintaining cleanliness in the nurse's office, disinfecting between student visits, and carrying out other administrative duties as assigned are key responsibilities of this role. This position is crucial in assisting the school nurse and ensuring efficient operation of the school's health services.

Knowledge of underlying principles and practices of nursing, and especially the field of school health, including current trends; and of state, federal, and local laws pertaining to social and health issues.

PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
