Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop process flow diagrams for the material handling system.
  • Determine equipment to be used and generate specifications for the purchase of the equipment
  • Develop material handling project scope and cost estimates
  • Direct the design of other engineers, designers, and sub-contractors to support his/her effort.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines leads on multi-discipline projects to drive the team to a successful project completion.
  • Work closely with clients to understand and facilitate the design and construction of their process.
  • Travel to client facilities for gathering of field data and project review meetings.
  • Travel to client facilities and provide onsite technical help working with contractors.
  • The position will require 30% travel to client sites for field investigation and will require extended travel during installation of equipment.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering required
  • Minimum of 7+ years of bulk material handling experience and onsite project assistance.
  • Leadership skills to manage the design team and work directly with the client team.
  • Experience in design of bulk material handling systems from bulk unloading through the final product. Example equipment would be material storage, elevators, conveyors/feeders, weighing systems, pneumatic conveying, bulk filling systems.
  • Experience with glass batch handling systems a plus.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Self-starter and with minimal leadership required in day-to-day activities. Takes initiative.
