Job Description:

The Quality Technician will be responsible for performing Certification review for highly complex mechanical parts, Mil spec electronics and PWB components.

Essential Functions:

  • Reviewing First Article documentation of incoming material to quality assurance provisions, Mil specs, customer requirements, specific material requirements, and regulatory requirements.
  • Reviews conformance to outlined quality assurance and contractual requirements.
  • Assists in evaluating test data and material requirements.
  • Identifies deficiencies and collaborates with Program Quality, Supplier Quality, and Procurement to make recommendations for compliance and acceptance based on certification review.
  • Routinely supports and interfaces with Supplier Quality, Program Quality, and Procurement.
  • Performs detailed review of documentation including FAI's, engineering drawing requirements and conformance to precise specifications.
  • Performs review of key product/process characteristics per contractual requirements.
  • Verifies sampling plans, COC's, material certifications and part revision levels.
  • Use established guidelines and quality assurance provisions to ensure compliance.
  • Communicates quality requirement deficiencies and documentation concerns to the appropriate quality support (QE / SQE) team.
  • Interacts with RI, Supplier Quality, Program Quality and Procurement as necessary.
  • Must be an able to obtain and maintain a DoD Clearance.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications:
  • Requires developing job knowledge/skills typically obtained through a combination of education and experience.
    • High School Diploma or equivalent with four (4) years in a technical environment related to required skill sets.
    • 2 years post-Secondary/associate's degree with zero (0) to two (2) years of technical environment related to required skill sets.
  • Two (2) years or more experience with and knowledge of Engineering drawings, Manufacturing standards.
  • Four (4) years or more experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Two (2) years or more experience related to Certification review.
  • Must be a United States Citizen.
Preferred Additional Skills:
  • TIPQA data management software experience.
  • MIL-STD drawings and requirements.
  • AS9100 requirements.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Knowledge of Costpoint software.
