GENERAL SUMMARY

The clinical liaison provides support to the clinical manager and department leads to maintain responsibility for the professional clinical activities of all clinical staff under Hope Health as assigned or designated, provides medical support services to the providers to ensure smooth flow of patients through the medical clinic. During the absence of the department lead, the clinical liaison will assist in the performance of those duties.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Collaborates with Department Leads, Clinical Manager, Director of Operations, and Chief Operations Officer in:
  • Maintaining patient flow in clinic to a level that supports efficiency and productivity standards and goals
  • Communicating with appropriate personnel as necessary, to review, revise and evaluate clinic processes to promote efficiency
  • Providing competency skills training yearly for clinical staff as requested by Clinical Manager.
  • Provide new hire skills training for clinical staff
  • Assisting Clinical Manager to maintain accurate records for all meetings
  • Become an EMR super user and provide EMR support to newly hired providers and clinical staff
  • Assist with pre-visit planning for provider schedules
  • Assist with scheduling issues
  • Assist with clinic nurse visits
  • Assists in orienting new provider staff to the clinic
  • Ensure adherence to Agency’s policies and procedure.
  • Perform selected nursing and administrative duties and assist providers and clinical staff as part of the clinical team
  • Maintain clinical supplies, medication and private stock vaccine inventory, order and stock supplies
  • Other duties, as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

Required
  • Knowledge of basic principles of health promotion, prevention and motivation
  • Knowledge of protocols in general and an ability to quickly gain specific knowledge of the Center’s current operational protocols
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and appropriate abbreviations
  • Ability to read and comprehend medical instructions, short correspondence, and memos
  • Ability to document, with clarity, all information relevant to a patient’s needs
  • Ability to effectively present information in small group situations to patients, Center staff, and the general public.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with clinical team
  • Ability to use office equipment including but not limited to computers, fax machines, telephones and copiers
  • Ability to prioritize job duties, pay attention to details, follow directions and maintain confidentiality
Preferred
  • Spanish speaking and writing skills
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Required
  • Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Specialized Training/Certificates/Licenses:
    • Medical Assistant Program from an accredited institution
    • Current Medical Assistant Certification
    • Current Health Care Provider CPR Certification
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years
Job Type: Full-time

Expected hours: 40 per week
