Our leading software development client is hiring an Electromechanical Quality Assembly Technician to join their team in Chatsworth, CA This is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain experience and join a highly reputable company where there will be opportunity for growth. The electromechanical Quality Assembly Technician is a pivotal role responsible for the precision assembly of electromechanical components and systems, as well as conducting rigorous inspections and tests to guarantee the quality, functionality, and compliance of these products.
Job Duties:
- Electromechanical Assembly:
- Follow general mechanical drawings and assembly instructions to accurately assemble electromechanical devices and systems.
- Utilize a range of hand and power tools, as well as soldering equipment, to assemble, install, and secure components.
- Quality Inspection:
- Perform detailed inspections of electromechanical assemblies for structural quality, and functional performance.
- Responsible for reporting inspection findings, including any deviations from specifications or defects, and segregation of nonconforming material.
- Process Improvement and Compliance:
- Support Continual Process Improvement activities for enhanced safety, quality and efficiency.
- Follow company quality standards and operating procedures.
- Educational Background: A High-school diploma or equivalent. Other educational disciplines and industry experience will be considered.
- Experience: 3 years minimum as a quality inspector & 2 years minimum as an assembler in electronics, environmental, medical or aerospace industries OR 5+ years as an assembler in electronics, environmental, medical or aerospace industries.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional precision and focus when assembling components and conducting quality inspections.
- Communication Abilities: Clear and effective communication skills for documenting processes, reporting inspection results, and collaborating with team members.
- Physical: Can lift objects weighing up to 30 lbs.
- The role is primarily situated in an ESD controlled manufacturing or production facility, involving work with electromechanical equipment.
- May involve exposure to minimal noise.
