Job Description

Dewberry is currently seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to join our Information Technology Group in our Fairfax, VA office. This individual should be enthusiastic and able to adapt to new challenges and project directions with a high level of comfort. Able to communicate effectively by adapting style and message to a diverse audience.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain detailed project plans for large-scale, complex projects that may involve multiple resource teams
  • Facilitates all checkpoint control gates through the lifecycle of the project
  • Prepare and present progress reports for project stakeholders
  • Creates risk mitigation strategies to anticipate, assess and resolve project risks as they are encountered
  • Implement a project communication plan
  • Provide motivation to project team members throughout the project life cycle
  • Able to manage multiple projects that may vary in scope simultaneously
  • Schedule cross-functional meetings to facilitate collaboration and resource availability
  • Maintain project-related documentation which may include contracts, invoices, or payment records
Required Skills & Required Experience
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field is a plus
  • Experience with implementation of CRM or HRM systems a plus
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills including the ability to communicate with leadership
  • Strong customer service, research, and organizational skills
  • Confident and effective interpersonal and time management skills
  • Ability to work with all levels of the organization including executive leadership
  • Utilize BI (Business Intelligence) tools for reports, dashboards, and charts
  • 15 or more years’ experience
