How you will make an Impact (Job Summary)

SPX is a diverse team of unique individuals who all make an impact. As an IT Application Analyst, you will support and maintain critical HR, Finance and Legal applications. You will be a technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) regarding HR applications and be able to advise internal customers on best practices, technical feasibility and issue resolution. You will work with HR, Payroll, Legal, Finance, vendors and other stakeholders to ensure these applications continue to meet the needs of the business.

What you can expect in this role (Job Responsibilities)

While each day brings new opportunities at SPX, your core responsibilities will be:

  1. Application Management:

  • Maintain applications to ensure acceptable levels of service by monitoring and correcting break/fix issues
  • Stay abreast of application updates/upgrades and perform necessary testing
  • Integrate new software as requested by the business
  • Partner with stakeholders to understand their needs and execute requirements as appropriate
  • Communicate pertinent application-related information to stakeholders (updates, outages, patches, etc)
  • Ensure all applications meet SPX security standards, including SSO, MFA, etc., and comply with Change Management processes and controls
  • Manage department ticket queue and resolve Requests and Incidents according to SLAs
  • Manage technical requirements by working with SAP, Ceridian, AMS team, SPX IT colleagues, as needed
  • Create and update documentation/knowledge documents
  1. Managing Integrations and Interfaces:

  • Daily monitor employee integration from SuccessFactors to Dayforce, and resolution of integration issues
  • Monitor interfaces from the core HR applications to other SPX applications and to vendors, and take appropriate action to resolve any issues
  • Gather and document requirements for new interfaces or changes to existing interfaces
  • Collaborate with the SPX Boomi team to create these updates and changes
  1. HRMS and IT Projects:

  • Participate in projects in various roles: subject matter expert, technical resource, requirements elicitation and analysis, process design and improvement, system configuration, support user acceptance testing
  • Support enterprise IT projects by assisting with user testing, participating in design and requirements sessions, and other activities as needed

What we are looking for (Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education)

Required Experience

  • Experience with HR processes and related systems
  • Experience trouble-shooting and testing
  • Familiarity with SaaS applications
  • Prior experience working with data integration and interfaces
  • Prior experience performing discovery/gathering requirements with customers
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities at one time

Preferred Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Experience with Dayforce and SuccessFactors
  • Experience with Time and Attendance systems and processes/policies
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with other members of the SPX IT organization
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complex technical challenges
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
  • A proactive and collaborative mindset, with a passion for staying up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends

Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, or related education

Travel & Working Environment

  • Partially remote work schedule with the on-site days in the SPX Technologies corporate office (Charlotte, NC)
