Receiving Specialist

Job Description

As a Receiving Specialist, you will play a vital part of the supply chain process? Overseeing the efficient receipt, storage, and order picking of our products, help to implement and sustain processes and systems that ensure targets within the warehouse are met. You will be a crucial collaborator to implementing and controlling the efficient and effective flow of goods to meet both the businesses and customers? Requirements. You will utilize your specific inventory experience to continually improve team performance and effectiveness. This position will report to the Inventory Manager and will work with other members of the warehouse and other departments throughout the organization.

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Offloads and processes dock receipts for all inventory locations, confirming the packing list and MTRs against the product received.
- Ensure all incoming material confirms to the Purchase Order and packing list.
- Work with buying authorities and accounting to resolve receiving issues.
- Direct all Shipping, Receiving and Inventory issues to your supervisor in a timely manner.
- Maintains complete and accurate Inventory records. (RMR log, CS log, etc.)
- Acquire and maintain a working knowledge of operating systems related to Inventory and Material Handling functions.
- Expedites incoming material and parts requests.
- Stocks warehouse parts accurately in an organized manner.
- Maintains organization and cleanliness of all inventory areas.
- Completes daily Cycle Counts as assigned.
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.

- Able to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external suppliers.
- Detail oriented with a commitment to accuracy in documentation and procedures.
- Proficiency in using relevant software tools and applications including Microsoft Office Suite and Teams.
- Effective time management and organizational skills, able to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.
- Achieve one day turn rate on receiving dock receipts including customer supplied, customer returns, vendor returns and damage claims.
- Work with the Quality personnel to facilitate the timely inspection of dock receipts and expedite material to the next operation in a timely manner.
- Take ownership, organize, and maintain personal, company equipment and work area in a professional manner and attend scheduled HSE training.
- Operate material handling equipment as required, achieve, and maintains fork truck operator certification and use safe working practices as directed.
- Must be able to work extra hours daily and on weekends as required.
- Must follow and enforce all safety and environmental policies and programs; must be able to use personal safety devices as required by company policy; report any activities that could be detrimental to safety and/or the loss of productivity; report any injuries when they occur.
- Must be able to resolve problems through collaboration and sharing with their teammates.
- Must be willing to be cross train and to train others to perform the job that is required to get the work done.
- Must be self-motivated, maintain a productive environment by bringing everybody s ideas forward, decide on the best method so that everyone will benefit from them as a team.
- Must be able to assist in mentoring and training of all Inventory personnel.
- Securing the warehouse from loss by: Challenging unauthorized personnel upon entry as to their needs and reporting any theft, loss, or missing items to the supervisor immediately.
- Responsible for following all applicable company and corporate policies, procedures, and programs, including but not limited to the process map, support processes and HSE requirements.
- Maintain warehouse supplies and submits requisitions to Inventory Manager.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

High School graduate or GED
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
Strong and professional interpersonal and communication skills. Must be able to communicate in a professional manner across multiple departments and communication media with changing priorities.
Effective time management and organizational skills, able to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.
Able to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external suppliers.
Detail oriented with a commitment to accuracy in documentation and procedures.
Ability to stay updated on changing customer requirements and industry regulations.
Proficiency in using relevant software tools and applications including Microsoft Office Suite. Oracle knowledge a plus.
Must be able to communicate in a professional manner across multiple departments and communication media with changing priorities.
Must be knowledgeable in Warehouse and pack out practices.
Must be capable of learning to read and understand production blueprints and routers.
Must be capable of working in a non-air-conditioned warehouse environment with PPE.
Must be capable of operating company fork trucks and capable of achieving and maintaining certification for such equipment.
Maintain applicable vehicle operator licenses as necessary to operate company equipment.
Be positive in challenging tasks; work as a team with co-workers to tackle tasks together.

Pay Range:

The pay range for this position is $22.60-24.00 per hour; however, the pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This pay information is being provided pursuant to applicable law and is based in part on market location.

Please Note:

Must have a valid driver s license and current state required minimum vehicle insurance coverage to drive onto Client and Company property.
