Endoscopy Technician II

Responsible for assisting the surgeon and nursing staff with endoscopic procedures in the surgery suite. Prepares and handles supplies, instruments and equipment in both sterile and non-sterile procedures. Principal Accountabilities: Sets the endoscopy room by endoscopists preference. Assists the procedure team by passing the required instruments to the physician, as directed. Assists in collection of specimens according to policy. Cleans and performs routine maintenance on endoscopic equipment. Notifies supervisor of any malfunction of equipment. Uses and maintains equipment according to manufacturer recommendations. Maintains a clean work area throughout scope process. Restocks endoscopy room with designated supplies. Performs other related duties as assigned. Required: High School Diploma or equivalent. Prior experience working in a hospital or healthcare facility.
