Under direction of the Lead Behavior Analyst and Director, the Lead Behavior Technician is responsible for the hands-on training needs of new and current behavior technicians to provide consistency and integrity of services throughout the center. The Lead Behavior Technician is also responsible for the daily therapy schedules. They also fulfill the responsibilities of Behavior Technician as needed at the center.

ACCOUNTABILITIES All duties listed below are essential unless noted otherwise

  1. Lead hands on training of new Behavior Technician’s utilizing the behavior skills training approach and assess skills on all required competencies.
  2. Assist Lead Behavior Analyst and Director in implementation of training modules for new and current Behavior Technicians.
  3. Create and modify the daily schedule to ensure technician’s and children are prepared for their services and communicate relevant schedule changes and updates.
  4. Assist in the development and lead the implementation of ongoing training and growth of Behavior Technicians throughout the center.
  5. Provide support and mentorship to new and current team of Behavior Technicians.
  6. Fulfill the role of behavior technician as needed at the center.
  7. Participate equally with other team members in supervising and maintaining safety of children in all activities.
  8. Performs other related duties as may be assigned. Education: Bachelor’s degree in related field

Skills: Must have the ability to be self-motivated, work independently, exhibit enthusiasm and demonstrate patience with children with autism. Must be able to understand directions, communicate and respond to inquiries; requires effective interpersonal skills. Must be able to retrieve information from computer. Must have experience and training in applied behavior analysis.

Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years’ experience working as an RBT

License: Must be Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

Certification: Must be CPR certified.

WORKING CONDITIONS Physical Demands: Must be able to frequently move, lift or carry materials weighing up to 50 lbs., 20% of the time.
