As a Network Engineer you will focus on the infrastructure of iGov's Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) integration programs. You will be working hands-on with a tight-knit engineering team planning, designing, and testing software in CSfC environments (mix of servers, workstations, storage, networks, and custom hardware). This position takes an adept individual that is comfortable in troubleshooting software issues. You have proficiency with the Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) operating system and can work through the OS configuration and optimization in an enterprise environment as well as documentation and baseline control. This position will require work at MacDill AFB or at iGov's integration facility in Tampa Florida.
Essential Responsibilities:

- Excellent documentation and communication skills.

- Requires physical attendance.
- Assist, support and collaborate with peer engineers.
- Follow standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained.
- Evaluate and recommend new products, solutions, and designs in response to requirements.
- Author, manage and maintain written technical materials.
- Timely Attendance is an essential function of your job.
Essential Required Experience & Skills:
- Design and implementation using Linux in an Enterprise environment (a mix of servers, workstations, storage, networks, and custom hardware).
- Familiarization with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) Operating system - Preferably versions of RHEL 6.0+.
- Design, implement, generate code through scripting tools, test, document, and maintain the system.
- Assist with development of build/test and integration, optimizing for performance and scalability.
- Assist team of engineers with RHEL based tool usage and issues, leveraging standards and best practices.
- Troubleshoot issues and identify optimal solutions.
- Astute observer with effective root cause identification and problem-solving skills
- Prior military experience and experience in deploying tactical information technology equipment in support of military is a plus.
- Team player able to work collaboratively with and through others.
- Excellent active listening skills.
- Exceptional communication skills - both written and verbal.
- Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences.
- Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships.
- Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations.
- Ability to obtain US security clearance.
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
- 0-2 year's experience.
- Knowledge of enterprise environments (servers, switching, storage, networking, workstations, wireless, VPNs, etc)
- Prior military experience and experience in deploying tactical information technology software in support of military.
Educational Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
Clearance Statement:
Applicants selected for this position may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. The optimal candidate shall have the ability to obtain an active Secret clearance.
Travel:
- Some travel to multiple locations may be required.
