The Role

Based in Dallas area, the Senior Director of Finance - GC Packaging will be the financial leader for the business and drive finance processes, forecasting, analysis and capital allocation. This individual will serve as the leader for a team that holds itself to the highest of standards around business partnership, and will play a critical role in driving success in achieving the long-term business plan and goals. The financial executive will be involved with integrating future acquisitions, investments, and engaging in the acceleration of earnings growth through strong business analysis, understanding and support. This executive will be responsible for leading a team of employees, with a strong focus on talent management and development. In this role, influence and stakeholder engagement with the business and key functional areas is critical. Key responsibilities include:
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and hands on business partner to the President/CEO, GC Packaging as well as other company leadership, including close partnership with the CFO for Fanatics Collectibles
  • Partner with the President/CEO, GC Packaging and provide leadership to develop and implement the strategic plan of the GC Packaging business, delivering on annual plans and long term goals
  • Lead the preparation and explanation of monthly, quarterly and annual segment-wide financial results, projections, variances and trend analysis
  • Present results to senior management as well as analysis of risks, opportunities, and options while considering relevant industry and competitor information
  • Develop and oversee the financial planning process including the drivers of revenue, cost, and capital investment assumptions under which the forecast and budgets for the segment and divisions within are prepared
  • Assist senior management in developing the material that may be utilized in external communications including the Board of Directors, quarterly earnings and investor presentations
Candidate Profile

The Senior Director of Finance - GC Packaging will be an experienced financial officer in a complex manufacturing and distribution company with the desire to work and live in a global setting. This individual must demonstrate personal characteristics including high energy, tenacity, a commitment to excellence, strong leadership, and a focus on responsibility and accountability. The successful candidate will also need to exhibit a balance between world class financial acumen and a strong operations orientation. In addition, they will be expected to provide exceptional business partnership skills and have the business acumen to take on broader responsibilities in the future within finance or in a general management position. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated track record of providing exceptional overall business advice and leadership to the extent that the Segment President/CEO will view them somewhat as a COO for the Segment.
  • Strong business acumen that enables the individual to manage a wide range of strategic and tactical finance functions
  • Ability to maintain an independent voice as a business partner
  • Keen ability to implement the strategic financial vision while effectively anticipating, driving and managing through change
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills to effectively delegate and develop a large professional staff on an ongoing basis
  • High degree of attention to accuracy and timeliness of delivery
  • Superior verbal and written communications at all levels in the company
  • Ability to translate and effectively communicate budget and forecasting scenarios, potential acquisitions, joint ventures, restructurings and/or asset or business sales
  • Ability to lead the analysis of various complex financials, including the impact of mergers and acquisitions on the company's financial statements, analysis of various capital allocation scenarios, incremental capital expenditures, acquisitions, joint ventures, etc.
  • Ability to effectively resolve problems and complex issues
  • Strong negotiation and influencing capabilities
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accounting/Business; MBA is highly preferred
  • 15 years plus of financial experience in a complex corporate finance environment within a large corporation
  • Global manufacturing industry experience is preferred
