Position Summary We are seeking an Information Security Specialist - Senior who will coordinate and manage all matters related to information security and assurance. This individual is responsible for ensuring the system maintains Authority to Operate (ATO) and complies with Department of Defense (DoD) guidelines and regulations.

The primary objective of this role is to maintain and enhance a critical IT system, ensuring its reliability, security, and efficiency. This project emphasizes delivering dependable IT services, effective resource management, and transitioning to a modern cloud-based infrastructure. These initiatives are vital for sustaining the system's performance and meeting future technological challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize current information security technologies and practices to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of organizational information assets.
  • Develop and maintain a knowledge base on evolving regulatory, threat, and technology landscapes.
  • Create and uphold security policies and standards to ensure compliance across the organization.
  • Lead Information Security/Assurance programs for systems comparable in size and complexity to the project.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree (MA/MS) and 10 years of experience, or Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) and 12 years of experience.
  • CISSP or equivalent IAT Level III certification.
  • Active Secret Clearance required.
  • At least 10 years of specialized experience leading Information Security/Assurance programs for systems of similar size and complexity.

Preferred

  • Expertise in managing Army or DoD projects within a low-code environment

Physical and Mental Qualifications:

  • Be able to maintain awareness during scheduled working hours.
  • Prolonged periods sitting or standing at desk and working on a computer (mouse and keyboard)
  • Able to lift up to 15 pounds.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication; good command of the English language
  • Execute tasks independently and work as a team.
  • Learns and memories routine tasks.
  • Strong organizational, grammar, business correspondence, and self-management skills
