GIS Technician

Bridger Photonics, Inc., a rapidly growing photonics company specializing in precision laser-based distance and atmospheric measurement, ladar, and lidar sensors, seeks a GIS Technician to contribute primarily to the deployment planning and logistics of our Gas Mapping LiDAR (GML).
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Building a solid understanding of our GML deployment planning
- Using Bridger's custom software and commercially available mapping software to support the creation of flight plans for deploying GML
Required qualifications:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, and the ability to interact effectively with coworkers, to achieve company goals,
- Excellent work ethic with the willingness to tackle all tasks necessary,
- Work hard and efficiently in a fast-paced environment,
- Ability to take initiative and work independently on assigned projects,
- Careful attention to detail with the ability to produce error-free documents,
- Proficient Microsoft Excel user.
- Experience using common file formats such as .pdf, .csv, .jpg, .png, .tif,
- Experience with GIS data and software applications such as Google Earth, QGIS, ArcGIS,
- Experience with logistics planning,
- Some coursework completed in Engineering, Physics, Math, Geography, GIS or equivalent STEM field, with demonstrated data analysis experience.
- This is a part time position, consistent weekly schedule preferred based on availability
- This position is based in Bozeman, MT and is not a remote work position.
- Pay is commensurate with education, experience, and skills.
