Job Title: Business Process Analyst

Reports to: CFO

Job Summary:

The primary focus of this position is on process improvement between and within all Palmer Candy Departments. This includes administration and troubleshooting of our core information and communication systems, managing project details and timelines for key initiatives and documenting processes. Designs, develops, implements, and maintains business solutions.

Supervisory Responsibilities: N/A

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Assist with administering and troubleshooting various internal software systems, including but not limited to: S2K, Clarisoft, Colos, Labelview, RedZone, Hexagon and SAP.
  • Proactively evaluate and recommend opportunities for process improvements through application of information technology solutions, streamlining processes, implementation of new software systems or operational changes.
  • Identify creative uses of applications to address business problems. Stay abreast of industry best practices in the use of information technologies and lead their introduction within the company.
  • Establish and manage a prioritized portfolio of IT projects with clearly defined business cases. Oversee project delivery on behalf of the company, ensuring they are accomplished within expectations.
  • Work within the business to define, document and prioritize business requirements. Establish user test criteria and perform and coordinate user testing to ensure solutions meet expectations. Lead the development and delivery of user training.
  • Act as a team/project lead, if needed, on designated projects or assignments.
  • Understands business needs, develops new reports, and performs custom/ad-hoc reporting working independently. Presents findings to various audiences.
  • Ability to analyze and communicate complex data in comprehensible ways to all levels within the company.
  • Determine, implement, and evaluate business metrics to meet ongoing organizational or customer information needs.
  • Manage all computers for all locations, including remote workers, and installing/replacing systems as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in process analysis techniques and tools.
  • Ability to build strong, trusted relationships with business partners through collaboration.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Executive level communication skills - both written and verbal.
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Competency in developing and delivering presentations, using MS-Office tools.
  • Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Adept at reading, writing, and interpreting technical documentation.
  • Highly self-motivated and directed.
Education and Experience:
  • BS/BA degree and five years in a related field (computer science/project management) preferred.
  • Experience involving direct interaction with business leadership.
  • Experience with leading or participating in business change initiatives.
  • Experience with implementing financial capabilities within ERP or other packaged solutions.
  • Experience in business process designs and facilitation.
  • Experience with analytical and data management skills.
  • Experience with SAP
Physical Requirements:
  • General office conditions
  • Able to work with and on a computer most of the day

  • Sitting for long periods of time
  • Ability to perform technical installs and/or provide support in a manufacturing setting
