Description
Per Diem - Logistics Specialist
As a Per Diem Logistics Specialist at Outdoor Gear Exchange, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our logistics and supply chain processes. Your primary responsibilities will revolve around picking online orders, picking and prepping restock for the sales floor, and tagging and prepping consigned merchandise.
Key Responsibilities:
Picking Online Orders:
- Pick all outbound customer orders, ensuring to organize picked orders accordingly on the baker's racks in fulfillment.
- Communicate with management and the Communications office on any key details regarding your picked orders.
- Complete 2nd looks for peer's online orders.
- Tag and prep all consigned merchandise for the sales floor.
- Merchandise new consignment appropriately on the sales floor.
- Ensure timely and accurate restocking of products on the sales floor.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product placement and merchandising requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to monitor sales trends to anticipate and fulfill restocking needs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in logistics is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing inventory records.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items.
- Detail-oriented and organized.
- Proactive problem solver.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Team player with a positive attitude.
- Proven experience in logistics, shipping, and receiving roles.
- Proficient in using logistics management software and MS Office suite.
Duration:
Seeking help November through mid-January.
Schedule:
Sundays & Mondays, 8am-4pm. Additionall hours may be considered.
Salary Description
$15.87 / hour
