Description

AmeriQual Foods, an Evansville, IN based food manufacturing facility, is seeking a self-motivated, ambitious individual to act as a intern in Research & Development department. This internship is for the 2024-2025 academic year and offers hands on technical experiences in a manufacturing facility.

Pay: Up to $17 per hour based on experience

Responsibilities:

Assignments will be based on organizational needs, but may include:
  • Conduct specification review based on production data compared to customer specifications
  • Assist in R&D development and Quality testing associated with new product development
  • Data collection, production auditing, lab work, general paperwork, updating and creating and other light office work
Requirements

Qualifications include:
  • Full time student status; .food science, chemistry, or related field preferred
  • Available to work 15-20 hours per week during the 2024-2025 academic year
  • Be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Excellent people and communication skills and positive attitude
  • Strong attention to detail, efficiency, and organizational skill

Physical requirements

While performing the duties of this job, employees are regularly required to sit, walk and stand; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands repetitively to operate standard office equipment; reach with hands and arms; and lift up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus. Position will also frequent the production floor, so operating in standard seasonal warehouse and food processing plant temperature conditions will be required.
