Dewberry is currently seeking a Sustainability Planning Intern for Summer 2025 to join our Parsippany, NJ office.

Responsibilities- The right individual will have a thorough understanding of sustainability concepts and how they apply to real world solutions.
- The individual will be able to effectively use critical thinking and problem-solving to brainstorm solutions and develop innovative ideas.
- This position will support an interdisciplinary team of scientists, engineers, and planners in preparing products for clients in various sectors.
- The individual will also support Dewberry's corporate sustainability efforts.
- Currently pursuing a BS or MS in Planning, Environmental Science, Sustainability, or other related field.
- Previous internship experience preferred.
- Ability to be self-motivated and function in a team environment.
- Knowledge of and ability to use basic computer applications as well as ArcGIS, and other similar tools.
- Ability to clearly and effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.

Program InformationSummer Intern Program
During the summer intern program, interns gain hands-on project experience, develop technical skills, and put their classroom knowledge into action. Our interns are assigned meaningful work and are given the opportunity to work on projects similar to what they would be engaging with as a full-time employee.
Our interns get the opportunity to participate in a series of workshops and events, including:
- Networking opportunities to meet other interns, staff, and senior leaders across the business.
- Learning about our services, projects, and clients.
- Professional development workshops, including a career planning workshop and a DiSC assessment to learn more about themselves and how to work effectively with others.
- Summer-long group project where interns work alongside firm leaders to address issues that will impact our future strategy.
