Job Description

The role involves reviewing and controlling client data mappings to SCOR treaties/contracts and related information, ensuring timely validation and processing of client data files. It includes resolving mapping-related exceptions, documenting activities, coordinating with Data Services, and working with Data Quality staff.

Responsibilities

  • Perform the review and control of mappings of client data to SCOR treaties/contracts, risk classes, and related information (e.g., products, files, etc.)
  • Ensure all client data file validation reviews are completed in a timely manner in alignment with production data loading goals
  • Provide subject matter expertise in the resolution of treaty/data mapping related processing exceptions in support of production and/or project goals
  • Document activities and statuses and produce reporting for downstream users that indicates when Treaty Mapping tasks are complete and further processing can occur
  • Coordinate with Data Services for solutions to client reporting changes
  • Work with Data Quality staff to ensure that all client data files are received and properly stored in a timely manner
  • Adhere to controls and processing guidelines, including the documentation and approval of data re-mappings and other material changes
  • Provide status reporting to management for Treaty Mapping responsibilities and issues relating to file turnover & staging progress
  • Ensure timely, complete, and accurate processing of client transaction files, including timely management and clearing of business rule exceptions
  • Review, analyze, and evaluate operational business processes to drive continual performance improvement and effective collaboration for new business and inforce processing/reporting.
  • Manage and resolve complex business issues and problems through research and interaction with cross functional departments in geographically dispersed environments. Communicate status and ramifications of issues effectively throughout the organization
  • May perform other duties as required
Qualifications

Experience:
  • Strong analytical, research and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with data analysis, SQL queries preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (V-Lookups, Pivot Tables, Formulas)
  • Detail oriented with strong planning and organizational skills
  • Ability to learn new systems and manipulate data for reporting
  • Ability to identify problems and develop innovative, effective solutions
  • Ability to analyze data in relation to treaty/contract requirements
  • Ability to work closely on a team with business users to investigate and resolve data related issues
  • Strong work ethic; commitment to accuracy and excellence
  • Must have a strong desire to learn and to do more than the minimum required
  • Strong results orientation & organizational, follow-up, & follow-through skills
Required Education
  • Working towards bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Insurance, Business Administration, or a related field
