AVP Senior QA Engineer is primarily responsible for leading quality assurance and automation testing for applicable products; supporting websites, web applications, mobile applications, and special projects across multiple devices and browsers. Helps establish a Quality Assurance program with a focus on developing automated test cases and configurations needed to meet business requirements, performing detailed review of test suites, and reporting and monitoring defects.

Essential Job Functions

  1. Creates, modifies, and maintains comprehensive automated test plans and scripts, using Selenium or other widely available testing automation framework.
  2. Creates, modifies, and maintains exploratory testing plans and conducts exploratory testing.
  3. Collaborates with product managers and software developers during requirements planning to understand future product development, how new features are to be implemented, and in development of testing requirements.
  4. Interprets test results and addresses errors by researching failures, updating test scripts, and reporting and tracking development-related bugs.
  5. Identifies bug and error trends and proactively recommends opportunities for product and process improvements.
  6. Contributes to reducing a release's time-to-production and to creating a predictable testing and shipping cadence.
  7. Produces accurate, thorough and timely work, while meeting commitments and following policies and procedures.
  8. Conducts training as needed.
  9. Regularly exercises discretion and judgment in the performance of essential job functions.
  10. Maintains consistent punctuality and attendance to work.
  11. Follows Bank policy, procedures and guidelines.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  1. Advanced working knowledge of Selenium or other testing automation framework.
  2. Knowledge of software development, QA methodologies, and release processes.
  3. Experience with testing platforms like BrowserStack or SauceLabs.
  4. Experience automating quality assurance processes as part of a continuous delivery pipeline.
  5. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, including presentation skills.
  6. Ability to demonstrate effective time management skills and work with exacting deadlines.
  7. Ability and desire to learn new skills, technologies, and methodologies.
  8. Strong analytical skills and in-depth attention to detail.
Basic Qualifications
  1. High school diploma or equivalent required.
  2. Bachelor degree in computer science or related discipline, or commensurate work experience, preferred.
  3. Minimum of two (2) years of experience creating automated tests in desktop or mobile browsers required.
  4. Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a combination of quality assurance roles required.
  5. Mobile testing experience strongly preferred.
