Genesis10 is currently seeking a Unix Administrator with our client in the financial industry located in Charlotte, NC and Plano, TX. This is a 12 + month contract position.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide support for moving/upgrading EOL operating systems which includes approximately 75,000 in-scope devices
  • Perform triage and root cause analysis of incidents as well as execution scheduled changes to servers

Requirements:
  • 7+ years of Hands-on experience supporting Red Hat Enterprise Linux (7/8/9)
  • Experience supporting Client, Dell x86 hardware platform
  • Strong experience in Linux/UNIX System Administration, hardware troubleshooting, configuration, and performance monitoring and tuning
  • Solid troubleshooting skills to triage with different technology partners
  • Strong communication skills
  • Understanding of ITIL incident/change/problem management processes
  • Understand SAN/NAS technology and experience to support server-side related issues

Desired skills:
  • Experience supporting RedHat LEAPP in-place upgrades
  • Experience supporting a Large global environment of RedHat Enterprise Linux Servers
  • Understand and follow the ITIL incident/change/problem management process
  • Experience supporting LVM and Veritas Volume management
  • Experience supporting DMZ environment Linux servers
  • Experience in automation tools like BladeLogic, shell scripting or ansible tower, Tanium
  • RedHat Cluster Services Certification or relative clustering experience
  • Ability to work Independently and partner with multiple teams where necessary
  • Experience with VMware ESX Resource Adjustments
