Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Automation Engineer to execute automation commissioning and validation protocols, troubleshoot and remediate commissioning and validation non-conformances, and work in a team environment with internal engineers and clients to provide state-of-the-art control systems to improve efficiency, product quality, and profitability of process manufacturing. The role also involves defining and implementing programmable logic controller (PLC) configurations, as well as testing and on-site commissioning and qualification of control systems.

Responsibilities

  • Execute automation commissioning and validation protocols.

  • Troubleshoot and remediate commissioning and validation non-conformances.

  • Collaborate with internal engineers and clients to provide advanced control systems.

  • Define and implement programmable logic controller (PLC) configurations.

  • Perform testing and on-site commissioning and qualification of control systems.

Essential Skills

  • Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs.

  • Troubleshooting skills, particularly with Rockwell PLCs.

  • Knowledge of GMP and commissioning processes.

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Computer, or Chemical Engineering, or Electrical Technology.

  • 2-8 years of experience in automation or a related field.

  • Hands-on experience with troubleshooting Rockwell PLCs.

  • Work experience in a GMP/Pharma environment.

  • Ability to execute assignments with minimal supervision.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience working on high-profile projects.

  • Ability to work in a long-term capacity with potential for project mobility.

Work Environment

You will be working alongside five other engineers on-site at a state-of-the-art facility in Concord, NC, which is 30 minutes east of Charlotte. The facility encompasses an area distributed among ten interlinked buildings. The role is structured with no weekend or overtime likely, as a set of engineers will cover Friday to Monday shifts. The work environment is designed to consistently deliver high-quality, high-efficiency, and highly reliable control systems for manufacturing and facilities.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $65.00/hr.
