Job Description:

As a Robotics Programmer and Operator, you will be responsible for creating efficient and quick-run programs for CNC equipment and utilizing CAD software to create drawings for tooling and fixtures. You will program, set up, and run jobs on HAAS brand Mills and Lathes while maintaining an inventory of tooling, fixtures, and equipment. Collaboration with the Production Manager during the production process will be essential to ensure maximum output.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program, set up, and run HAAS Mill and Lathe.
  • Utilize software to create drawings for tooling and fixtures.
  • Calculate dimensions or tolerances using instruments such as micrometers and calipers.
  • Measure dimensions of completed products or workpieces to verify conformance to specifications.
  • Apply advanced shop mathematics.
  • Operate grinding and cutting equipment.
  • Set up, adjust, or operate basic or specialized machine tools for precision machining operations.
  • Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, or materials onto machines.
  • Mount attachments or tools onto production equipment.
  • Monitor equipment operation to ensure proper functioning.
  • Maintain machine tools and production or processing equipment in proper operational condition.
  • Study sample parts, drawings, or engineering information to determine methods or sequences of operations needed to fabricate products.
  • Review drawings or other instructions to determine operational methods or sequences.
  • Operate equipment to verify operational efficiency.
  • Conduct test runs of production equipment.
  • Check workpieces to ensure proper lubrication or cooling.
  • Monitor lubrication of equipment or workpieces.
  • Program equipment to perform production tasks.
  • Diagnose machine tool malfunctions and equipment malfunctions to determine need for adjustments or repairs.
  • Design fixtures, tooling, or experimental parts to meet special engineering needs.
  • Confer with engineering, supervisory, or manufacturing personnel to exchange technical information.
  • Measure materials to mark reference points, cutting lines, or other indicators.
  • Draw guidelines or markings on materials or workpieces using patterns or other references.
  • Assemble machine tools or fixtures.
  • Support new projects from sale, planning, and fabrication through manufacturing, inspection, and testing, using knowledge of machine functions, metal properties, and mathematics.
  • Confer with numerical control programmers to ensure that new programs or machinery will function properly and that output will meet specifications.
  • Create 3D CAD models.
  • Utilize 3D printing technology.
  • Program robots.
  • Handle electronics and industrial controls.
  • Perform CNC machining.
  • Engage in programming tasks.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Robotics Programmer and Operator.
  • Proficiency in programming, setting up, and operating HAAS Mills and Lathes.
  • Strong knowledge of CAD software for creating drawings.
  • Familiarity with measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers.
  • Expertise in advanced shop mathematics.
  • Hands-on experience with grinding and cutting equipment.
  • Ability to set up, adjust, and operate precision machining tools.
  • Knowledge of machine tool maintenance and diagnostics.
  • Competence in designing fixtures, tooling, and experimental parts.
  • Experience with 3D CAD modeling, 3D printing, robot programming, electronics, industrial controls, CNC machining, and programming.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
