Job Description

Yamaha has an excellent opportunity for aData Steward IIIto join ourYGC teaminKennesaw, GA. This role entails overseeing daily operations, taking charge of maintaining current materials and ensuring setup of new materials in SAP. The Data Steward III will be accountable for detecting data discrepancies and spearheading efforts to enhance functionality and capability of our systems. Additionally, they will play a crucial role in implementing changes and upgrades to YGC systems, leveraging their experience to ensure successful outcomes.

What you will be doing:

  • Manage and maintain the processes related to the setup and documentation of new materials (parts, accessories, and models) into SAP (MDM and ECC modules).
  • Technical lead for all systems testing and validation, including SAP (ECC, APO, MDM), business portal, and other systems as needed.
  • Building complex Variant Configuration models using variant tables, functions and object dependencies including constraints. Review the effects product change has on the configured models as well as how those changes relate to sales and production.
  • Troubleshoot and effectively create action plans/timelines with continuous improvement methodologies for all systems outages, data inconsistencies and other issues that impact systems or user performance.
  • Lead YGC materials management activities to include Life Cycle management, KPI tracking, performance reporting, part set-up, and bill of materials creation and maintenance.
  • Respond quickly and accurately to inquiries and requests to change materials sales status, categorization, or procurement related settings.
  • Documenting and maintaining YGC Master Data departmental procedures and SOPs
  • Support achievement of targets by understanding goals and budgets.
  • Ensure existing materials in the systems are properly categorized and have no missing or incorrect data including lead time, pricing, parts classification, and other master data.
What you need to be successful:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Accounting, or Business/Finance, preferred with consideration given for equivalent combination of work experience.
  • 8-10 years’ experience in parts and accessories (sales or service), units service, and/or data analysis in Automotive or manufacturing industries preferred.
  • 4-6 years direct SAP data management experience. Understanding all aspects of a variant configuration model including classes, characteristics, configuration profiles, tables, dependency nets with constraints, BOM Class Nodes, preconditions, procedures, complex bills of materials and routings. This requires design, testing, documentation, and deployment of variant configuration bill of materials
  • Intermediate MS Office Suite Skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills with applied experience working in a cross functional team environment.
  • Advanced analytical and reporting skills
  • Support partnering across multiple levels within the organization.
