Atlantic Health System is Seeking a Radiation Oncologist in Northern New Jersey Atlantic Health System, one of New Jersey's largest non-profit healthcare networks, is seeking a Radiation Oncologist to join Atlantic Health System Cancer Care. The team consists of dynamic multidisciplinary specialists who are trained to provide the highest level of care by utilizing the most advanced therapies available in the radiation oncology field. This physician would join Atlantic Medical Group Oncology, a large multispecialty group with over 30 medical oncologists, and more than 60 cancer surgical specialists practicing throughout Atlantic Health System. This role is ideal for an ambitious and skilled radiation oncologist to join a well-established practice at a premier institution, consistently ranked as one of the best healthcare facilities in the country. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing complete, comprehensive clinical care for all patients and have experience in advanced radiation techniques such as SBRT and SRS. The candidate should also have research interests and experience that can integrate into, and be nurtured by, the novel cancer research program at Atlantic Health System, through both its NCI-sponsored NCORP community oncology research grant (one of only 32 sites in the country) and its leadership in the Breakthrough Oncology Network, in partnership with the Translational Genomics Research Institute (TGen) and other premier oncology programs. Atlantic Health System has announced plans to build a proton therapy center, one of the first in the world to use the Mevion S250-FIT novel system. The ideal candidate will therefore have experience treating patients with proton therapy, and the initiative and creativity to help build a world-class particle beam therapy program.
