JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for the audit, measurement, documentation, and reporting of product and process quality in accordance with control plans and engineering and/or customer drawings.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Responsible for knowing and following Company policies as directed by Employee Handbook and the Safety Rules, Regulations, Quality Manual.
2. Performs visual and/or dimensional inspection of the process, parts, sub-assemblies, and assemblies during the manufacturing process and at completion as directed or indicated in control plans.
3. Confirm conformance to Engineering Standards and Drawing specification by performing and documenting out going shipment verifications and audits as directed.
4. Report any non-conformances to the Quality system, Engineering Standards, Drawing Specification, and Inspection Standards using the Trouble Reporting System. Monitors, and distributes and performs follow up to issued Trouble Reports.
5. Monitors and interprets Statistical Process Control Charts and takes the appropriate action as indicated by those charts.
6. Conducts process capability studies as directed.
7. Assists in the collection of data for the purpose of process improvement.
8. Assists the Group Leaders and set-up technicians in process targeting and improvement.
9. Assists and advises associates in the use and care of inspection equipment, gages, and documentation required.
10. Maintains clean and organized work area and equipment.
11. Attends regular meetings as required

Skills/Experience: QUALIFICATIONS: (TRAINING, EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION)
High School Diploma or GED (Additional job related training preferred, such as college courses, certifications, seminars).
At least 2 years of job-related experience.
Above average math skills.
Above average customer service skills.
Ability to use inspection gauging, equipment, and tooling.
Ability to determine the method of inspection, using Drawing Specifications, control plans and/or Customer Engineering Standards.
Ability to work with minimal supervision, organize work, and gather required information to problem solve or trouble shoot potential product or process non-conformance

PHYSICAL REQUIRMENTS:
Ability to remain stationary for several hours at a time; Ability to maneuver around the office and plant; repeatedly bend, squat, move both arms above the head, and move head straight up and down and side to side; Good hand strength, good finger dexterity, and ability to rotate wrists, arms, and shoulders; Good eyesight, hearing, and speaking voice; and ability to lift approximately 15 lbs.; Ability to communicate well with others; Ability to produce computer-generated reports quickly and accurately; Ability to travel on long trips (either by ground and/or by air) including overnight travel will be required (

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work is performed in a normal office setting with minimal exposure to health or safety hazards and on the plant floor with several potential workplace hazards. All safety rules, regulations and precautions are to be implemented when working around machines and when traveling to keep employees and others safe. Required Skills:

Previous experience using hand measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.

Ability to read control plans and take measurements to determine if part is within specification tolerances.

Desired Skills:

Basic computer skills.
